BioThis poem was written to me by Steph B. I don't care what anyone thinks... she is one of my best friends... this was written to me because i didn't go on the band trip... this poem made me cry... it probally wont make you because you wont know all of the inside jokes but here it is:
To Jessica ( Color Guard 3)
I said bye to you,
Told you how much you'd be missed.
Told you I'd write a song,
But I never did.
You sat in class,
I on the bus.
You were surrounded by feelings of loss,
I by feelings of pain and nervousness.
You thought of the trip,
Full of fun,
Full of joy.
I thought of our trip,
Full of hurt,
Full of sorrow.
You got home,
I reached the competition.
We dropped our banners,
One after another.
We were so shaky.
There were the pre-game jitters.
Where were you to whip us into shape?
We lined up.
Red, black, and silver waved to the
judges in the wind.
At least I hoped they would.
Nothing fell,
No one out of step.
A few mistakes,
Here and there,
But we finished.
We arrived at the hotel.
Got to hangout for a while.
Found a spot to sit and talk.
I learned a lot that night.
Then, I thought of you,
As I entered my room.
Where were you?
Sleeping?
Crying?
Online?
Nikkie tried to sleep,
We kept her up.
Damn she was pissed!
House keeping arrived,
At one in the morning.
Our room wasn't to be cleaned.
The windows were just washed by the
voice of 2 strangers,
With invitations,
As the adrenaline ran.
Next day was the park,
But first was the Thirsty Pony.
We thought of you,
Called you,
Brought you a cup.
The park was o.k.
JUST o.k.
Would've been better with you.
We went on some coasters.
Then some kiddie rides,
Straddling horses,
Yelling at grandma's driving,
And fishing to ragae.
You would've had fun,
I would've had more.
Granny was parched.
We stopped for water,
Searched for the perfect gift.
Just a shirt and a frame.
Not much,
But the best we could find.
It'd never show how much you were
missed.
Later we stopped for lunch,
Danced outside of the bumper cars,
Me singing Backstreet Boys.
I thought of listening to it with you,
Being all spontazy after school.
We got our awards.
17/20 is ok, I guess.
Would've done better with you.
It wasn't all fun and joyous,
Wasn't even close close.
Maybe for them,
But not for me.
Mrs.Smith noticed,
But Nikkie sheilded me,
Dustin wasn't gonna talk to me,
He was busy ion the see-through shower.
Got out of there fast.
Went back to the hotel,
With only half an hour to spare.
Found out where Ferris roomed,
Right near my corner.
The next day we left,
In hope of seeing you soon.
The bus was hell,
Downing pixy sticks,
Drowning the band out with Kurt's
screaming voice.
Couldn't wait to get home.
My last guard experience was over,
And it was without you.
Monday I got the note.
How much you wanted to go,
How much you missed us,
How much you'd miss me.
It was done,
All over.
Guess what?
I miss it!
You told me to stay,
I wasn't sure,
But listened anyway.
Now I'm positive.
I'm the captain,
You're my co.
Now we'll rule guard,
Like we want to.
Next year will be the best!
I LOVE AQ guard!!
